Visit of sifu Benny Meng to Hong Kong
May 2010During the month of May the grandmaster of the IWKA, sifu Sergio invited the curator of the Ving Tsun museum In Dayton (Ohio) sifu Benny Meng to Hong Kong. To discus Wing Chun history, the connection with the Siu Lam temple in Fukien and to plan future projects.
During the visit sifu Sergio and sifu Benny had several meetings with the top of the Hong Kong Siu Lam Wing Tjun world. And it's ancestor Fukien Wing Chun Bak Hok, like sifu Sunny So, sifu Cliff Ip and sifu Cheng Kwong.
Many stories were shared and a long lasting friendship was formed between the sifu's involved. To see the photo's of the meetings Click Here
On the last evening a visit was made to the school of our friend sifu Cliff Au Yeung of the Wong Shun Leung lineage, followed up by a fantastic goodbye dinner. Where sifu Paul Hawkes and his student Dave Bright also joined us.
